Tracking bureaucracy costs

Effective 1 September 2012, the G-BA is obliged to track the expected bureaucracy costs for new documentation and information obligations associated with its resolutions, and to present them in the rationale for each resolution in a way that is understandable. This responsibility is based on a new regulation in the SHI Healthcare Provision Act (GKV-VStG). Lawmakers have defined the standard cost model of the National Regulatory Control Council as the basis for tracking bureaucracy costs. The G-BA regulates the details in its bylaws (German only) and Rules of Procedure (German only).
